Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Thursday named its Secretary General Omar Ayyub Khan as the party nominee for the post of the country's prime minister.

PML-N senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has called for forming a national government comprising all political parties in a bid to reduce "political tensions and bitterness".

In a post on X, the former federal minister urged all stakeholders to consider forming a national government as no party has secured a simple majority.

JUI-F protests against 'rigging' outside ECP in Karachi

KARACHI: In light of the "alleged" election results, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) is set to protest outside the election commission's office in the port city.

Taking the protest into account, as per different News, barricades have been put up outside the Election Commission of Pakistan's office.

PTI supporters stage demonstrations in two tribal areas over alleged rigging

 NORTH WAZIRISTAN: The protestors supporting PTI-affiliated candidate Thursday vowed to continue demonstration against alleged rigging in NA-40 constituency until PTI’s victory is announced. The protest has entered into sixth day in North Waziristan.

Meanwhile, PTI supporters continued a protest in another tribal area Kurram Agency for seventh day against the alleged tampering of election results in PK-95.

The supporters said the PTI secured victory in 126 out of 144 polling stations in the provincial assembly constituency.

Protesters claimed that their rightful mandate was snatched to make the JUI-F win.
